Amy and Dave introduced me to the beautiful town of Tenafly in New Jersey.  I always love shooting in new places and this little park Amy found was perfect, in spite of a dolled-up birthday girl and her countless "birthday-maids".  What we witnessed was like a teen wedding complete with a bus-limo, photographer and videographer.  Really, the oddest thing.  In spite of the commotion, we found plenty of light to work with and then headed over to the railroad tracks, which I also loved!  Thanks for being so photogenic, you guys.  Aren't they adorable?

I finally got back to the Highline to shoot!  Jeff and I had our engagement photos there and I've been dying to go back, only having shot there once, and before the park had been extended by about 15 blocks.  I love the mix of urban, park and whatever happens to be around the W. Village, which is forever changing.  It is my favorite place to shoot in NYC.

Having Michelle and Vinny take my recommendation and choosing the W. Village for their session made me so happy.  AND they are so photogenic, I just love the way these came out.

Leigh and Schuyler are getting married in NJ next year but for the engagement session, we went back to my hometown in the Lehigh Valley for their engagement shoot at Lehigh University.  In spite of being from Emmaus, they showed me some new parts of Lehigh in Bethlehem that I didn't know existed.  It was a pleasure spending a beautiful Fall morning with them.  Thanks to Leigh and Schuyler for getting up so early and risking missing the start of Sunday's football game :)

Thanks to this handsome couple, I discovered the adorable Palmer Square in Princeton, NJ.  I had never shot in Princeton before and I wasn't exactly sure what I would find when I got there.  It was the perfect mix of main street, campus, shopping and park-like atmosphere.  I love the bright colors Jennifer chose for the photos.  I always encourage my couples to be bold and dare to wear something bright.  Look how well color photographs!  I can't wait for November, my favorite season is hot on our heels :)

Gina and Gilles spent a few short weeks in the US to plan their summer wedding next year.  They've been living in Paris for four years, if I remembered that correctly, and they have decided to celebrate their love with THREE weddings.  Can you even imagine!?  I love the idea.  It sounds super romantic and the most amazing part is that one wedding will be in Paris, one in Venezuela and one at Pen Ryn Mansion, where Jeff and I had our wedding!  The reason for all of the celebration is the fact that certain sides of the family speak only english, french, or spanish.  So there will be three weddings in three different parts of the world in three different languages. Pretty intense, huh?  I loved meeting and shooting Gina and Gilles, they were so photogenic and so incredibly sweet.  They even brought me a Paris memento, an Eiffel Tower keychain :)

carol scott ( Emily Scotts referral):

We are having a engagement/family weekend over labor day this month. Emily has highly recommended you as a person to do our familt portrait as well as an engagement picture for her brother and fiance. We will be in Avalon,nj ...we are Emmaus residents. Is there any chance you would be free to do the shoot? If not can you recommend someone?
