I managed to get away for a few days with some of my very best friends from high school to visit Megan and her family in North Carolina. It is a new feeling when your friends start having babies. The realization hits that in spite of the fact that you don't see each other every week, every month and sometimes only once a year, your lives keep plodding onward in such a surreal sort of way.

After hearing about baby Cole (and Ken for that matter!) for weeks, we finally got to see his precious face and the pictures just did not do him justice. He is the sweetest, most adorable and cuddly baby you could imagine. Megan and Ken are so lucky to have such a sweet boy in their lives.
Megan, I can't wait to see you again soon! Don't let Cole get any bigger until I see him one more time, k? And Ken, what a pleasure it was to meet you. Megan found a wonderful match in you and you are both so blessed to have one another.

Carolyn and Erik are friends of ours which always adds a little bit of pressure on the job. The good news is that Carolyn was an extremely relaxed bride and she looked radiant ALL day. I thought it was sweet how nervous Erik was before the ceremony, knowing he's not really like that at all on a normal day. Carolyn spent so much time planning all of the details of their wedding and it really came together beautifully with so many personal touches.

As I've said before, I always love photographing weddings with people I know and to make it even better, my sister-in-law was in the wedding party :) It was such a fun day, I don't think I looked at the clock once and by the end of the night I hadn't even felt like I was working.
Thank you C+E for inviting me to be a part of your day!

I've known Cassie since she was 10 (11?) years old. When I found out she wanted me to shoot her senior photographs, I was beyond surprised and quite honored that she even thought to remember me. I met her to find what a beautiful and sweet girl she had become or should I say, remained. It's crazy what a transformation girls make in a few short years. I felt so old thinking to myself (and probably saying out loud), "you're all GROWN UP!"

Cassie, you truly are a beautiful girl with the world at her fingertips. I wish you the best in all you do and I'm so so glad to have had the opportunity to spend time with you and your mom again.

Sabrina and Roni were married in a combination of American and Indian traditions and I am so thankful to have been a part of all of them. The festivities began on Friday night, before the wedding. There was so much to look at and process and the time just flew by me. Between the beautiful and colorful sarees, the adorable little kids and the traditions, some of which were new to me, I felt like I was being entertained all evening. Sabrina was simply stunning and it was a pleasure photographing her. I was amazed at how much work went into getting her dressed just exactly right. Friday evening was followed by an American wedding ceremony on Saturday morning and a reception on Saturday evening. I was so tired by the time it was over, I couldn't imagine how exhausted Sabrina and Roni must have been. Enjoy these few photos from the Friday night reception!

Beth and Adam are getting married in September at the Jersey shore. I know this wedding is going to be beautiful because Beth has been keeping me up to date with her planning and decisions. I've seen the bridesmaids dresses, the venue, the SHOES (exquisite), and the linens until it was decided that they just wouldn't work. The engagement session turned into a bit of a planning session which is always fun. I love hearing all the details about what the bride is thinking and how she is envisioning her wedding. Then when I finally see it on the wedding day it is just amazing to see how a vision is turned into a reality.

The planning session even turned into dinner which was delicious AND fun. It was a great day and I had a fantastic time with Beth and Adam.
We started out in Asbury Park and on the beach by the boardwalk there. Here are a few of my favorites.

The wedding is going to be held at Beth's Aunt Sally's house which is right on the beach. It is absolutely beautiful and I am envisioning the wedding with the tented lawns...one of which we took a picture on thanks to Aunt Sally's recommendation :)

beth:
